6 persons arrested with narcotics in Jammu

Jammu- The police Thursday claimed to have arrested six persons and recovered heroin, cannabis and poppy in the Jammu region.

 

A car was intercepted at Kullian in R S Pura belt of Jammu district Wednesday evening, a police officer said.

 

Three persons sitting in the car were frisked and about 46 grams of heroin recovered from them, he said.

 

The police also arrested a drug peddler and recovered 400 grams of cannabis in Ghadsoo area of Doda district last night, he added. In another case, 6 grams of heroin was recovered from another person in Udhampur district last night, the official said.

 

Another drug peddler was arrested from Jammu bus stand and 14 kgs of poppy was recovered, he added.
